An accomplished entertainer, singer,ukulele banjo/ukulele player and actor having studied music and drama at the renowned Liverpool Crane Studios,Derek has a wealth of Musical Theatre, Variety, Music Hall and entertainment experience.Derek has performed at many well-known venues including City Varieties Theatre (Leeds), Blackpool Opera House and regularly entertains at private parties also at public 1940s events.

With one of his many ukulele banjos or ukuleles Derek invites you to take a trip down Memory Lane when he presents his “Back to Variety” -vintage variety show including a Tribute to the great Wartime entertainer George Formby in his own entertaining style recalling some of the legendary and popular George Formby songs and other memorable foot-tapping, singalong medleys playing in the unique George Formby style.

Derek adds comedy and laughter and enjoys a banter with you,his audience,encouraging you to join in the singing in his engaging self-contained variety show.
