Jeff Lynne was born in Shard End, a small area of Birmingham in 1947.

After spells in local bands throughout the mid 1960s, Jeff found himself as a member of The Move with Roy Wood. Wood and Lynne’s side project Electric Light Orchestra became one of the most successful bands of the 1970s and early ’80s, despite founder member Wood departing after less than a year to work on other projects.

With Jeff Lynne as songwriter, producer and frontman, ELO had worldwide success with albums such as “Out of the blue”, “Face the music” and “Discovery”. When ELO disbanded in the mid-1980s, Lynne became a sought-after producer for such acts as Tom Petty, George Harrison and Paul McCartney. He also co-founded the supergroup Travelin’ Wilburys with Harrison, Petty, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison. Jeff gradually returned to the public eye with a new album and charity appearances from 2012, culminating in a brand new album “Alone in the universe” and UK tour in 2016. In April 2017 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

A DVD of his sell-out Wembley gig is due for release in November 2017, and more dates expected to be announced during the Spring of 2018.
